Gruner Wedding in Evanston, IL

Dave & Jenny Gruner
I am a little embarrassed on how delayed these up coming posts are - but sometimes life happens and the blog must wait.  Paul and I had a wonderful time in the Chicago area for Dave and Jenny's wedding.  We flew out of Pittsburgh on separate flights only to have my flight significantly delayed and Paul caught up to my itinerary quickly.  After many hours of traveling we were able to check into the hotel and made our way to mingle with the wedding party before it was time to call it a night.

Morning at the Farmer's Market after some sunbathing!
The next morning was relaxing and I woke up early to explore the cute main street of Evanston.  I bought and early morning Starbucks Latte and some bagels to wake up the crew.  Later that morning Paul and I enjoyed a jog in the gym and some time in the Farmer's market that happened to be setting up in the hotel's back courtyard - talk about convienent!  We bought some fresh berries for snacking, and they were delicious!
The Short & Handsome Anderson Boys!
Enjoying some appetizers with the newly married Dave!

One of my favorite photos from the night! Dooze & John!
Paul left us in the morning to get ready and take pictures with the wedding party.  It was such a special honor for Paul to be Best Man at Dave's wedding.  We were so excited to take part in the celebration and to see Dave and Jenny start their life together.  Paul had his speech prepared and recited - and today was the day they were getting married!

We started at the church which was decorated with simplistic beauty.  The elements Jenny and Dave picked out were gorgeous!  I am in love with baby's breath and glass jars - both which were included in the decor.  After exchanging vows, we went over to the Evanston Women's Club which is a stunning venue for a wedding reception.  Jenny and Dave included photos of their grandparents' wedding and had bride and groom drinks!  It was great to see everyone together!

Ted (Mark) and Lisa!  Great photo of you two!

Another adorable Gruner Coupler
We made our way up to the dinning area where Paul delivered his Best Man speech.  I was so proud of him while he was talking about their long friendship and the many wonderful times Dave and Jenny will have in the future.  Dinner of course was fantastic!  The grilled pears were amazing!  After dinner the music started and the dancing followed within just a few moments.  You can always count on the Gruners to have a lot of people on the dance floor!  The DJ was excellent and didn't let anyone take a moments rest between songs!

The Anderson Family!

Finally having the opportunity to meet John & Laura!
I could barely breath I was dancing so hard at the reception - I specifically remember Paul telling me to "cool it" when I was pulling out some more of my high energy moves.  Many of you who know me have seen these moves in action many times before. The next morning we were able to see everyone for breakfast before parting ways - it was an excellent weekend.

Thank you to Jenny, Dave, the Peterson Family and the Gruner Family for putting this celebration together!
