Grandpa Marsh & Wisconsin Family Reunion

2013 Family Reunion

On August 8th, 2013 my Grandfather Jack Marsh passed away.  I am so fortunate to have spent so many amazing years with all four of my grandparents.  We took so many trips together and explored United States, including Alaska.  My family and our grandparents spent time in Texas, Arizona, Alaska, out West, Canada, and wherever our large Motorhome would take us.  They are surely some of my fondest memories, and I only hope I can do the same for my family.

Grandma Marsh

After hearing the news, I knew I wanted to go back Wisconsin to be with my family to celebrate the life and the man Grandpa Marsh was.  He was truly an example of how we should all live our lives.  Grandma and Grandpa Marsh made it through some difficult times and exemplified the values of hard work and sacrifice. The service for Grandpa Marsh was beautiful, and the Beottcher's were there for another wonderful tribute.

In that same weekend, we had a family reunion on my Grandpa VanBoxtel's side.  It was hosted at the VanBoxtel pond and family from all around came together to celebrate.  We had a raffle, jumping tent for the little kids and food to feed everyone in sight.  It was quite a turn out!  Grandpa was able to bring Grandma VB from her home to join us too, which was a nice surprise.  She did a wonderful job with all of the commotion and enjoyed visiting with her sisters and family.

Grandma and Grandpa together was also simply too cute.
I will always cherish and remember the many life lessons taught to us by our grandparents.  For all those life lessons, thank you.

Invitation Crafting Party!

Well, leading up to the wedding, there was quite a lot of crafting.  We made everything from invitations, to programs, to table numbers and table runners!  I was willing to do anything to save a few bucks while planning my dream day!

The invitations go out in the mail - what a project!

Here's a shout out to say thank you to all those who contributed to my crafting madness in the form of stamping, tying ribbons, addressing envelopes, folding napkins, hot gluing, writing with chalk marker, and many more odds and ends!
