Trip to the Windy City with the ladies!

So, while catching Hilary in the Stadium View for three minutes, we had a random idea to get some girls together and meet up in Chicago for the weekend.  Usually these ideas fall through, but we took this one and ran with it!  We met there last weekend for shopping, drinks, and tall buildings!

Friday afternoon I flew in and took the L to our hotel downtown.  Kate met me there and we went out for dinner at Rock Bottom while waiting for the rest of the girls to arrive with all their heavy goodies that they were lugging on the trains to the hotel!  That night we went out to all of Joel's favorite places and had a blast.  The night was awesome, and we had Kate's boyfriend as our bodyguard for the whole night!

On Saturday we walked around the town while the wind was whipping us around, it really proved to be the Windy City!  Early Saturday morning Lyssa and I ventured out to get bagels for the crew to speed their recovery, an excellent choice.  We stopped for some Starbucks and took pictures at the Bean!

Photo bomb!  Photo bombing myself... in the Bean!

We ran out of time to go to the Willis Tower (the new name for Sears Tower), but we did some good shopping, so we made our way back for the hotel to get ready for the comedy show!  Jed and Justin bought us tickets for the show to see Ben Bailey.  He was really funny and had some great sarcasm!  After the show we took the L back to the hotel and had a quite night and tucked in early.

Sunday, the girls had to take off early to make sure to get back to Green Bay before the late night hours.  I had some time to myself to get packed up, shower, and hit Michigan Ave to do some shopping.  I managed to get a real cheap shirt at Ann Taylor, which was a success!

Nice picture I caught on my stroll on Sunday... the Water Tower.

Overall the weekend was amazing.  It was so nice to get to see the girls and finally meet the legendary Kate (or Flaps' sister as I have known her for the past couple months!). We had a blast, and Paul and I are excited to go back to Chicago for Dave's wedding in July!

Lexie, Hilary, Alyssa, and Lyssa!
